Play Shields of Velis Vel, with Hive Mind in play, your opponent will probably copy it on himself/herself. Then, if you control more creatures than your opponent, play Peer Pressure and gain control of all of his creatures.

standardize works better then the shields and hive mind, your opponent can choose you for the target makeing it void

Why would they choose you? In normal situations, it would be a bad idea for them.

You can target your opponent with sheilds. . .

Why do you need hive mind?

by playing shields on himself and his opponent he does not need to play a tribal deck to make peer presurre work

Why would they choose you?  2 reasons the first being this is a one hit wonder-if they choose themselves the 1st time they never will again, the second reason is (and I am generalizing here, based on my experiences) people will wonder with hive mind out why would you play a card that benefits me? especially when they realize that most cards that benefit from creature type affact only the controllers creatures, most that hinder it affect the opponent.  such as spirit mirror, peer presure, harsh mercy, tivdors crusade, not to mention creatures that can't be blocked by such and such

Well, you explained it too well gericault... Not all players have a card library in their brain such as yours, well some players might not realize what you're trying to do...

I agree some people wont realize it the first time, but you won't fool them the second time around, well maybe some of them

Yeah, me and my bro have gotten to the point where we know what the other will play before we even play it.

That happens with most decks. When I have played a certain type of deck before, I can guess what my opponent is going to play just by seeing what mana they tap.

An example: My friend and me were playing. I had a Hand of Emrakul, Brimstone Mage (3 counters) and Kozilek's Predator in play. All he had was a Clone of Hand of Emrakul. I attacked with Kozilek's Predator. He guessed that I had a Lightning Bolt in hand and let the attack through. (Later, I killed his Clone and won by playing Emrakul.)

true but the problem with this is when the opponent knows it, it is worthless.  The advantage of standardize is you even if they know you have it you get to call when it goes and unless they have a counter they can't stop it
