Just kidding, Gladecover Scout is not in the database...odd considering it came out before Innistrad.
Yes, the island is Omniscience (or infinite mana combo, personally I like Illusionist Bracers+Seeker of Skybreak and Llanowar Elves when in green).
Due to -free- casting abilities, Cycle of Life can be played repeatedly. I chose Gladecover Scout as an example of a cheap/hard-to-kill creature, but there are other great targets for this, from Darksteel Myr to Triskelion (and beyond)!

I assume the creature gets as much +1/+1 counters next upkeep as much as you returned the Cycle of Life to your hand. With Trisk this would be awesome!-)

I'm really digging this, Boyachi. It takes an Ovinomancy effect, and makes it crazy useful. Very cool.

This is crazy awesome. Cast Ranger's Guile in order to buy time for your next upkeep. Silence works very well too if you have a little Selesnya going on.
