Clifftop Retreat is actually Assemble the Legion.
I added this combo to my American deck. This combo has owned. OWNED!!!!
When you have both out. Each token you get from assemble of legion makes all creatures in play bigger with having cathars' crusade out.

Nifty - but I'd still never play
Assemble the Legion. :D
It's cool that you've made it more functional. There are probably other options that would work, too.

My only issue with Legion's Initiative is that it is a one time use only card. Now, if it did not get exiled when used then I would say it be AWESOME to go with Aurelia.

Plays well with Phyrexian Dreadnought.
