Put Indestructibility on Guardian of the Gateless, and when an opponent swings with a bunch of creatures you can't kill, give yours deathtouch :). Or just first strike lol

Dude you're right, a Plains and a Forest make great WG synergy. Ha ha, but no seriously, this is pretty cool. I'd go for an artifact approach, just to make it splashable anywhere, but it is still a good Base for some fun stuff.
