Plains= Aurelia. Island= Voidwalk. Mountain= Hellraiser Goblin. Attack with Aurelia, Voidwalk her, encode it on the goblin or another creature (unblockable), and repeat the process. Because of the goblin, Aurelia when attacking should be attacking for the first time over and over again due to the fact that she leaves the battlefield. Now this combo is something i'm kinda iffy on. Does this work?

no, because when voidwalk exiles the target creature, in this case Aurelia, it doesn't come back until the end of turn long after the 2nd attack phase.

I block, and very likely kill, your 2/2 goblin. The Ciphered spell doesn't go off, and then I weather out Aurelia.

You might as well have just cast Aurelia, and gone about your business.

This combo might work if your opponent has only one creature out on the field, but if you're in a position where your opponent has only one creature, and you can cast Aurelia as well as Voidwalk on the same turn, then you didn't need this combo to win.

So, it's a lame duck combo.

Which is the reason you put it on an unblockable creature. The goblin was just for haste and attack reasons. Already knew the cipher ability only triggered when a creature does damage to a player.

One, since this doesn't work without the unblockable creature, it should have been listed in the combo. Which would mean, specifically, the Dimir Keyrune - which means you combo has an even greater cost than before.

Two, you skipped over the whole "if your opponent has only one creature, and you can cast these spells" part. If you are investing that much mana at once, you shouldn't need to do backflips like this to win. In fact, if you have that much mana left over, and you can't win, you need to sell you cards and take up knitting. If you're able to cast Aurelia, and your opponent has only one creature in play, that should be game over, in and of itself.

I mean, Aurelia has a CMC of 6, and Voidwalk has a CMC of 4. So, instead, I'll just cast Aurelia, attack, and attack again. Ten damage. Next turn, I cast Aurelia's Fury, or maybe I just attack again - but either way, I win without having to jump through hoops.

This is a lame duck combo. :/

Not if they're already in play. Doesn't have to be early on. The point of this is it can be cast and win without anyone knowing what hit them. Just like your lifelink combo. The whole point is the element of suprise. Not to win. To enjoy it and have something to talk about when it happens. Oh, and you said to make original content, so what did you think of the two card combo posted?

First, I appreciate that Academic is so patient with Chewy and doesn't use the F*** word.

Second, Chewy should read Gericaults comment again. Aurelia and Voidwalk do not work so good together as Chewy expected it. This is independet from the unblockable creature where the Cipher Voidwalk is encoded on since Aurelia will enter at end of turn without the chance to attack again since the second combat phase has been already done.

Third, to make this work I suggest to use spidermans Wormfang Turns combo, so you need a Wormfang Manta and a Torpor Orb in addition to the unblockable creature and the Voidwalk. This will be mono blue. You don't need the Aurelia in that case since multiple attack phase in one turn are replaced by multiple turns with one attack phase each.

Exploiting the Wormfang Manta should also work with Conjurer's Closet instead of the Voidwalk or with Sundial of the Infinite instead of the Torpor Orb.

Fourth, if you still want to have multiple comabt phases granted by Aurelia, search for Deadeye Navigator on this site and take a look at the combo "Infinite Attacks" submitted by americanwerewolf.

Not if they're already in play.

One, that's not a complete sentence, two, this is a stupid point. Each card takes up a card slot. Each spell has a mana cost. It costs mana to put a card into play. So, yes, even if some cards are already in play, things are more expensive.

And if this wasn't a combo you expected to go off in one turn, you'd never have listed the Hellraiser Goblin. So, bullshit.

Doesn't have to be early
on.

It doesn't have to be early on. you lazy idiot. And it doesn't matter when you're executing this.

The point of this is it can be cast and win without anyone knowing
what hit them.

And you can't do that with this combo.

Just like your lifelink combo.

Fuck you, this is nothing like my Infinite Life Boros Pre-release combo. My combo consisted of three cards that play well in a Boros deck, that you were likely to pull (if you were playing Boros that weekend), that work well separately, but together pulled off something amazing. The premise behind mine was making it look like you made a sloppy mistake with a critical creature, and then effectively winning the game at instant speed.

How is your combo anything like that? You have a clunky, unrelated tandem of cards that don't compliment each other. The majority of them are expensive, and they're all casting at sorcery speed, so good-bye element of surprise. If you have the ten mana available to do this all in one turn (which is the closest you can possibly get to a surprise here), then you've somehow managed to last 10+ turns with a clunky, poorly coordinated deck, despite the fact that they have a creature available for you to target with Voidwalk (because if you target Aurelia, then she can't attack that turn - and that means no extra attacks) so that you can Cipher to the Dimir Keyrune (which you didn't even mention in the first place, but is apperantly critical, since it's the only way to ensure an unblockable creature without adding even more colors to the mana requirements).

Your combo needs to do backflips just to make this combo work. You'd need to make the whole deck around this idea, and that would be nearly impossible to have done during the pre-release. More to the point, your combo is redundant. With that much mana out, and with Aurelia in your hand, you should win in two turns, just by attacking (especially considering your opponent has such a pathetic army that she can't even kill you, despite your clunk, unworkable deck, and despite the fact that at least ten turns have gone by, assuming a best case scenario.).

My combo was elegant, and pulled off a miracle win out of nowhere at instant speed, using cards that can help you win on their own, without me having to juggle things to make it work - your combo is a slow, lumbering expensive pile of cards that's less effective than just attacking with a creature.

Your combo is nothing like mine. Nothing.

The whole point is the
element of suprise.

Of which you have none.

Not to win.

"The point of this is it can be cast and win without anyone knowing
what hit them."

You are either a liar or an idiot. Or both. I mean, you couldn't even finish a paragraph without either lying/being wrong, whichever it is.

To enjoy it and have something to talk
about when it happens.

Nothing is more enjoyable than playing Magic with someone, and having them dick you around because they wanted to pull off a trick, when they could have won ages ago, without the stupid trick.

Everyone loves to be dicked around like that. People enjoy it.

Oh, and you said to make original content, so
what did you think of the two card combo posted?

I thought it was great, when I first saw the idea on MTGSalvation.

That applies to either of the two card combos you've submitted.

Your combo has to be blocked to gain infinite life. It doesn't necessarily win. If someone mills you before you deal enough damage to kill them, you lose. Or if someone counters your spell, the combo goes unfinished. And i don't have a single card from the new set, so i've been trying to figure it all out without them. Didn't get a chance to go to the prerelease like over half the people on here. And i don't stay on the computer to look this stuff up. I just go with whatever comes to mind. Besides, i thought summing it up would be much easier than writing a small essay about it. But thank you for taking note almost every grammatical error that was in that short post.

And?

If you don't block, I deal three damage, and keep on playing as per usual. My combo can do that. I'm not relying on it to win - but if I can pull it off, I win.

As for the 'if someone mill deaths you/counters you' thing, are you seriously that fucking stupid? There isn't a combo here that couldn't be snuffed with a blue control spell*. Why are you explaining this shit to me? Is it not patently aware that I am smarter than you, motherfucker? Has that point not sunken in yet, deep?

I do not fucking care about your life experiences, or what cards you buy. I do not fucking care that you're too are lazy to google or to type out full sentences (that's not true, I fucking despise laziness, fuck you for your laziness).

It is funny that you think I've pointed out every one of your spelling and grammar failings - trust me, there are a fuck of a lot that I skipped over because the fact that you're shitty was more important at the time than the fact that you couldn't structure a simple sentence. But seeing how you just tried to use that as a means of condescending to me again, despite everything,
fuck you, idiot, I've torn you apart with solid cogent
points from the beginning to now. The fact that I have now also pointed
out that you're barely literate doesn't undo a fucking thing I've said. :)

Again, the dishonest condescending little shit tries to pass the buck condescendingly, in a fashion implying that he didn't start all of this bullshit by being a condescending little shit(which is to say, he's being dishonest).

You thought you could start something, and you'd just win - now that you've realized you're being dressed down by someone better than you, you don't want to play anymore.

You want it to end?

Don't be a biter. Respect people who are better than you. And quit blaming others for mistakes that you've made - like starting this little thing with me.
