Yesterday evening we played EDH multiplayer king of the hill with 4 players. A friend of mine had the new Rakdos as general in the exile zone, 5 lands (rrrbb) and the Infectious Horror in play. Then he started his 6th turn: mountain in play, attacks with the horror, each opponent lost 2 (in sum 6) life, he played Rakdos, Lord of Riots, then he played with rr the Bogardan Hellkite targeting the king of the hill opponent with the 5 damage (in sum 11 damage), then he played the Ulamog for free... Then, he was not longer my friend...!-)

I had to change my mind about the strength of Rakdos as general...

Seems that he is rather good in multiplayer. I'm liking the guy that saps 2 life when attacking, though. It is pretty fierce for a common.

I started building a deck for him. Yeah he pairs really well with the Eldrazi. Somehow the infectious horror slipped my notice, that's a great card in multiplayer with Rakdos. Hmmm, perhaps I'll have to rebuild that deck.

:D I've been looking for an excuse to use Rakdos in EDH - and quick, cheap Eldrazi is enough of a excuse to do it. Give your friend a high-five for me. :D

Just so everyone knows, it's the new Rakdos, and the old one is almost unplayable unless you build around him.
