Bad Ass is sitting in for Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. I get that it can be difficult to have all three Vampirism cards out - you might consider including Heartless Summoning.

Otherwise, the combo is very straight forward. Enchant Mikaeus with the Vampirisms, or some combination of that card and Heartless Summoning, so that you've got a permanent -3/-3 in effect. Play the Thoctar, which will come into play (and subsequently die) as a 0/0 with undying - it'll return to play as a 0/0 with a +1/+1 counter on it. It's pretty much straight-forward from there.

The Thoctar will come in as a 2/2, since Mikaeus gives +1/+1 to non human creatures. Maybe try engineered plague or something of the like.

Or yet another vampirism, or another Heartless Summoning, or any other card that will lead to a permanent -3/-3 in play, as stated in the OP.

That's a reasonable point on Mikaeus, and that is something to consider. And with it considered, the combo works
