Sac the germ to Ashnod\'s Altar to get 2 colorless, sac the equipment to Thopter Foundry for a Thopter and a life, lather, rinse repeat as needed.

Nifty. I like that the most expensive component is colorless, too. This combo would be fairly easy to pull off, and it does it's job well.

A sword of the meek could be used on that extra 1 mana from the germ sack. would have to attach it to the thopter.

i gotta admit, it is a nice combo, great for legacy or edh, and fits in any deck of the type :)
