If you have all of these out at once, all your permanents are protected, you cannot be targeted, you cannot lose, and they cannot win. The only thing you have to be careful of is things like Diabolic Edict or Cruel Edict, which make you sacrifice creatures.

You should add Imperial Mask to this combo..
It says that you cannot be the target of spells or abilities that your opponents control.

True believer causes you to not be able to target yourself, so no healing, and no protection. Imperial Mask works better.

A second Privileged Position would also work better than Sterling Grove. but both work ok..

And btw , you don't have to worry
about cruel edict and the like if
they can't target you :D

It's true- edicts aren't going to matter because of True Believer. However, you do still need to watch out for Wrath of God, Austere Command, Damnation, Day of Judgment, Evacuation, Upheaval, etc. I run something similar in a deck, but with Avacyn, Angel of Hope in place of the Platinum Angel. Great combo though!

Yeah, I guess this has been a bit dated. That said it is kinda nice to be able to build this in steps. Run a few Sterling Groves, so if one is ever going down before Privileged Position comes out, sac it for another one, or for PP if you have another in your hand. Then drop True Believer and then Platinum Angel (or I guess Avacyn works better for avoiding board wipes?) a while later. Just last long enough, and no problem.

Three words: Black Sun's Zenith.

It will kill your angel pretty easily.

Solution to both -1/-1 counters and sacrificing your creatures:

- Melira, Sylvok Outcast
- Tajuru, Preserver

Really out of dates xD.

Now you have to add: Nevermore , Saffi Eriksdotter , Tajuru Preserver ans Gaddock Teeg ; Another solution could be Darksteel Forge with Mycosynth Lattice

Thanks to Shakii23, we got this far.

As you can see, for the combo to be seamless, first it would have to have all the components out, including Torpor Orb and/or Relic of Progenitus/Tormod's Crypt.
