the idea I had for this combo was geeting enough mana to hard cast emrakul.  then cast splintertwin on him and tap him.  then using eye of ugin search the library for eye of ugin, and then cast hi m  again, then well, that is where the rest of the combo is in complete I need to be able to pull the enchantment splinter twin back out of my library every time.
for those that are confused of how this would work, let me explain in beter detail:

when emrakul comes out, you get an extra turn
on the extra turn atach the red enchantment splinter twin to it, and tap it
this generates another emrakul, however the legendary rule then applies...
which causes BOTH emrakuls to die.
since emrakul hit the graveyard the whole grave yard is sent back into your library
using your remaining mana, you search for emrakul, and play (and yes this would take a lot of mana thus I am only going to use this combo in fun matches, with a type one deck, wear i can pump out the three urza lands easily with expedition map)
once you have emrakuls in play again
you can repeat the process, exept now I need another splinter twin, if there was a way to grab the old one (which is now in the library again)  I could keep this going indefinitly.

can you help?

can't even target enugai with the splinter twin. It's colored red, so enugai can't be targeted by it.

Just so you know, even if you somehow managed to get Splinter Twin onto Emrakul, you wouldn't get any extra turns when copying him - you only get the extra turn when you CAST Emrakul (i.e. pay the 15 mana).

If the sole purpose of the twin is to dump Emrakul into the Graveyard due to the Legend rule, just use another sac outlet like Ashnod's Altar.

You guys missed psyche's post. You can't play a Splinter Twin on Emrakul, he has protection from colored spells.

No, Zark was saying that even if you cascaded into the Splinter Twin or found some way to put Splinter Twin on it, the extra turn ability would not trigger.

It's irrelevant. Cascade allows you to play a spell for free, which still won't let you target Emrakul.

Your most recent post is irrelevant, because you didn't read Zark's entire post. He was saying that the extra turn ability wouldn't occur, so even if you put Splinter Twin somehow on Emrakul, making a copy wouldn't trigger the extra turn.

Actually I did, and apparently neither him nor you read the original post, as it never claimed to get an extra turn from the Splinter Twin copy. It actually says that he plans on searching his deck for another Emrakul and playing it, which as unlikely as that is, would grant him another turn. Try to keep up.

His original post made no sense because he said to search for an Eye of Ugin with his Eye of Ugin. Eye of Ugin only searches for colorless creatures.

Indeed, and in the same sentence he says 'cast him again', then later in the description he again explains how he intends to search his deck for Emrakul and replay him granting him another turn. Pretty sure the rest of us understood what he meant. Try to keep up.

Why exactly are we arguing over this anyway? Does it make that much of a difference?

although there are ways to get enchantments on to creautes without targeting (the one that first comes to my mind is the rebel's "draft" ability.)

The card from RoE is Aura Finesse. You could Imprint Aura Finesse on an Isochron Scepter.

Back to the problem at hand.

So, splinter twinning emrakul, not exactly easy to do.  But someone mentioned the altar (jeez do I have some love for this card).  So, with the ability to generate 15 mana (elves, wild growth, however...) you drop the big boy on the table with the Eye already in play.

On your extra turn, sac Emrakul to the altar, giving you two colorless towards your Eye ability - which you then use to search for Emrakul again.  You are down 5 mana from the overall 15 you could generate and can't keep the combo going.  This is where he needs help.

You COULD energy tap to the mix.  It doesn't target the emrakul, so is a legal way to generate an additional 15 mana on your extra turn...so maybe something like this....

Turn X
In play - the eye and the ability to generate 15 mana
Drop Emrakul
Turn X+1 - extra
Cast Energy tap giving you an available 30 mana (jeezus!), then use the altar to sac your emrakul (32 mana), 7 to search for emrakul, and 15 to cast it.

Ya..that should work.  You can use the Isochron scepter for your Energy Tap so you can do it every turn, and done deal, you take turns forever.  And, you wouldn't ever run out of cards either.  Eventually you'll get more mana on the board and be able to search for creatures on the "drop emrakul" turn so you can utilize the extra mana in the "kill emrakul" turn.

Thoughts?

My thought are... why do you seem to think Energy Tap doesn't target? Because it absolutely always has and still does.

Personally, I think trying to find a 'combo' for Emrakul is a waste of time. If you can't win the game after hardcasting him, you have some serious issues with your deck.
