Title: Help critique my standard deck?

I've been trying my best to create a worthy standard Boros deck for my local meta. It's decent at best, it wins some and loses some. Any help would be greatly appreciated! If anyone else has decks that they want critiqued I'd happily return the favor.

If you are trying to build aggro/beatdown, I'd suggest cutting Thundermaw and Vexing Devil to try your combination of Daring Skyjek, Champion of the Parish, and Skyknight Legionaire.

For more Midrange, maybe try Firemane Avenger, Oblivion Ring/Fiend Hunter, or Gisela. She's a total badass.

Nice deck!

your build is remarkably similiar to mine. creature wise i dont play aurelia, and only 3 reckoner and 3 devils 4 paladian 3 lightning mauler

spellwise we are a little more different, enchantment wise i use 3 orings and 2 madcap skills. the orings give more flexiability in removal then pacificism while the madcaps boost and unblockable is great for aggro.
have the same instants plus 4 cloudshifts, great for protect my creatures and moving the soulbonds, and clears the skies for the dragon, plus i like making my opponent choose vexing twice.
planeswalkers i went with gidion the draws the attack but does a better job protecting himself, plus i use divine reckoning for mass removal since he survives it leaves me with a small edge.
2 slayers strongholds hasnt hurt me yet

^ That.

Another thing I like in Boros is Stromkirk Noble. He's a solid first turn drop and with Madcap Skills, he's basically unblockable, which is dangerous for something that gets stronger each time it hits you. Your opponent will have to overextend to get him and by that time you've already got other threats on the field.

I like the deck. It's exactly how I like to play RW.

I think it's a goddamned shame that you don't have a few Legion Loyalists in there. He's easily one of the best of the new Boros cards - for one drop, with an active battalion, you've got three first strike/trample creatures, that can't be blocked by tokens. That's pretty sweet.

Consider maybe adding in Frontline Medic? Same deal - one of the best of the battalion cards, not to expensive, and when it activates, your battalion is indestructible until end of turn. Considering you're running the Boros Reckoner, that's seriously useful. Plus, it's got that nifty sac-for-counterspell ability. Those really shouldn't be overlooked this block.

It might be worth it to include the Sunhome Guildmage. That blanket ability it has isn't too expensive, and it would give you a constant access to pump and creatures, even if you empty your hand (which is always a risk in these decks).

Aside from those, I'd say that the above recommends are solid, some especially. Champion of the Parish would be great if you could make this solidly human tribal. Alternately, if you're not going tribal, the Stromkirk Noble is a solid choice. It's unblockable to the majority of creatures, it drops for one, and it makes itself bigger. That's great.

And definitely consider dropping the Pacifisms for either O-Rings or Fiend Hunters - exiled cards are better than stationary cards. Exile also helps prevent activated abilities.

Thanks for the critiques guys! Truly appreciated, I'll take these into account and try to have an updated list soon :)

If anyone has a deck they want looked at I would enjoy returning the favor!
