Whats your's my bud played future sight with march of the machines and lattice all in an affinity deck it got nasty and he would over whelm quick he also had icy manipulator which was a biotch 4/4 creature with annoying ability. He had draw cards and isochron scwpters so once hitting he played most evwrything and most times would balance b4 doing so. Shitty but awesome.

Ugh. Legit, dude, your posts are almost as illegible as that ESL guy who has trouble with English.

Blue-white control-lifegain, with Test of Endurance. All I have to do is survive - and if there's a play style that can do it, it's UB.

How can it be that every person who's brought up my username be both semi-literate, and wrong? :D

Seriously, you'd assume that they'd suss out at the very least that I have a respect for Academics. And yet... :D

reaper - Here is your post.

Here is your post, when not filtered through an illiterate. :D

"
What's yours? My bud played Future Sight, alongside March of
the Machines and [Mycosynth] Lattice, all in an affinity deck. It got nasty, and he
would over overwhelm quickly. He also had Icy Manipulator, which became a bitching
4/4 creature with annoying ability. He had draw cards and Isochron Scepters, so once [he starts] hitting [you] he [could] play most [of his deck], and most times [he] would
balance [before] doing so. Shitty, but awesome."

You're not really in a position to be judging literacy. :D

I'll also pitch my Mayael the Anima/Angels deck for EDH. Lots of land fetch, lots of fun.

A U/B mill could handle it pretty well too. Memory Adept with the new dimir guildmage is a deadly combo. 6 total mana and 10 cards cost 20 life from the victim. Dissipate annoying spells to buy time, use Izzet mass return cards to control the battlefield. Not real hard to survive against those kinds of decks anymore. Even Orzhov can make it through that and that's a slow guild. Blind Obedience would cost your opponent a turn for artifacts and creatures plus the extort with it combo that with a Crypt Ghast and mana for extort isn't a problem. You could literally sit back and extort the game out. Fill your side with cheap extort creatures (Thrull Parasite) with some extort enchants and it shouldn't be a problem. Thrull Parasite can also deal with planeswalkers by paying 2 life to remove counters.

Aside from the draw/swap deck that I made that has next to no chance of winning, I really like my land/artifact destruction deck that I made from a combo posted on this site (Gorilla Chieftain+Liquimetal Coating). I'm still grateful for it, it made the deck playable, even in multiplayer.

sad to say that my fave deck isn't one of mine.  A buddy plays a R/W build that run Repercussion/Furnace of Rath/AEther Flash and Forbidden Orchard. It's the only deck that I have seen that have high enough damage output to kill my life gain deck once it go going.

Life gain decks are easy to control. Either Sorin Markov to set life to 10 and swing for kill or Blood Tribute with Sanguine Bond.

-EDIT!!!- There is also the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond with Sorin Markov for kill. 2 to you, I gain 4 life, you lose 4 life, I gain 4 life, you lose 4 life...you see where this is going.

Right now, my favourite is a "Big Jund" Modern deck that I play in the MTGO just for fun room. I ramp with 4x Farseek , 2x Explore and 4x Solemn Simulacrum, have Firespout and Lavalanche as sweepers to survive the early game, and then a bunch of big fatties. I've got Defiler of Souls, Broodmate Dragon, Boartusk Liege and Apocalypse Hydra who bring some serious beats. I top my curve with 2x Hellkite Overlord. No one ever expects 8 hasty damage in the air!  It's not a good deck really, and has minimal discard or removal, but it is fun to drop Broodmate on turn 4 or Hellkite Overlord on turn 6. I have a few fetchlands, some shocks and lots of M10 duals so mana fixing isn't a huge concern.

The other deck I like is another casual Modern deck. It's mono-red but is built around artifacts, sweepers and suspend. I suspend Greater Gargadon and proceed to draw, ramp and fix with Ichor Wellspring, Mycosynth Wellspring and Solemn Simulacrum. I have Slagstorm and Lightning Bolts for protection, and Trading Post which works very well with the Wellsprings. The Gargadon also provides a great sac outlet for the wellsprings. I ramp up to 8 mana, sac some permanents and then cast Obliterate. Next turn, Greater Gargadon comes from Suspend to smash for 9 damage. I also have 2x Valakut in the deck in case I draw a bunch of Mountains. Once I get some Stomping Grounds, I will add some green ramp spells.

I'm toying with the idea of using Tron lands instead for the Wellspring deck. It accelerates much quicker. The RG shell would remain most likely, using Sylvan Scrying to find the missing pieces. However I doubt Valakut would still work with the Tron lands.

Gisela burn/voltron for EDH. Pretty self explanatory.

Hellkite Overlord ramp for Legacy. It uses Dark Ritual to cast Chromatic Lantern t1 and uses Dragonspeaker Shaman, Birds, and Muldaya Channelers to play Karrthus, Overlord, or Utvara Hellkite out by turn 4. Lots of fun.

For Modern my new baby is a Nightsky Mimic completely-multicolored, kill spell-aggro deck. Nightsky Mimic + Edge of the Divinity + Voracious Hatchling + Stillmoon Cavalier + Deathbringer Liege etc.... It plays almost like evolve since you can set up great chains to make your creatures bigger. The only notable difference being that Nighsky Mimic can kill any evolve creature by turn 3. He's a ton of fun.

Also for Standard I like RDW (and RWU Reckoner). :3

@Redz hey do you have divinity's pride in that I know exactly how good those bw are. I had a creature based bw deck. It consisted of 4 nip gwyllion, 4 voracious hatchlings, 4 mourning thrulls, 4 nightsky mimic's 4 deathbringer liege's, 4 edge of the divinity, 4 divinity of pride, 4 whispersilk cloaks. I added in 4 culling the weak, 4 dark rituals, 4 scrublands, 4 godless shrine's and 4 orshov basilica's. 60 cards 40 non land perms. not saying it cant be beat, but it has yet to happen. Scrublands are costly but awesome for bw!

I heard it.... Didn't you? Are the voices failing you Kefka old buddy? Are they leaving you alone? Is that how you feel? Alone? I bet the thought of playing multiplayer Magic just breaks your heart. It's ok. I'll be your big spoon.

I can't imagine running 8 5-drops in aggro. That's even too much for midrange imo. I don't like Divinity of Pride because it's just a beater that doesn't do anything. I would rather have kill spells in its slot.

Its great just culling the weak and ritual's arent multi but they get those bigs out. But I know divinity doesn't do a ton but you have e.o.d. on him and his enhanced attack he gets nasty big chunks of life gain too.
