Title: Why is Knarf spazzing out?

Knarf seems a little upset by the idea that the whole of our community should be allowed to have a voice on the subject, but I think some open, candid discussion might be able to shed some light on the issues brought forward.

Is Knarf 'pimping away' because he doesn't to own up to his failures, or is there a deeper reason?

Is Knarf an example of direct, honest confrontation, or is he messing it up somehow? If he's messing it up, how is he messing it up?

Do you still have the same opinion of Knarf that you had before all of this flipping out?

Feel free to be honest and open - I'm looking forward to some frank discussion.

Don't ask. Academic is at a whole new level (and not in a good way). The kind that I've never seen before. Think Cianadex, but much worse.

Oh man, there is so much backstory here. :D

So we had a whole bunch of newbies come through the forums. Most of them haven't stuck around, because most new users submit something, and had Knarf condescend to them, and insult them with backhanded compliments.

Chewy was one of them. He came on board a little while back, and did the usual noob thing of flooding the forum with combos from other websites and/or posting combos. So I proded him a bit, and after about a day or so, it was fairly appearant that he was young, and his weakness was probably just inexperience. So I rode his ass about submitting original content, and then I rode his ass about making simple succinct combos instead of overelaborate piles of cards. He didn't handle it well at first - he began following me from thread to thread, alternating insults and compliments, trying to subdue me in any way he could.

And then, he gave up. He just stopped. And then he made a really great combo.

And then another.

And then he kept on doing it.

It was kind of amazing, and it made me proud, and I've let him know as such.

Fact was, we can't treat new users like they're the underclass. We need to engage them, and challenge them. That's the way we can keep them around, and liven up this place a little.

Somewhere in there, Spawn got involved, and he kind of threatened to kill me because I reminded him that he said women were the same as pedophiles because people treat both like crap online, but I'm pretty certain the best he's capable of doing is posting his cache of Pony pictures, so whateves. :D

So, anyway, the day after me and Chewy had worked things out, Knarf starts a thread about our feud, and interjected himself into every thread, demanding that people post how he wanted, and if anyone wanted confrontation, then go to that thread. Then he tried to flood the front page with some really, really lame half-hearted combos, in hopes of flooding the discussion off the front page.

I flatly told him where he could stick it, and when everyone started laughing at him, he started really spazzing, trying to turn every post into an insult, flooding the forums, counting posts (and I don't think anyone really knows what that was about), insulting Jester's sexual interests (really), implying that everyone was a dupe account of mine (including Kefka, who's been posting here since before I was a user here), and saying he wanted to masturbate into my coffee (yes, really). He's flat out said that the reason why he's doing all of this shit is because if the forum doesn't want to behave under his rules, he'd rather burn the place down (and that's not just a flowery turn of phrase I'm coming up with - he actually said he'd destroy the forum unless he got his way.

Aaaaaaaand then I guess was a few days of Knarf freaking out and following me into any thread I've posted in. I say his feeling were hurt, and instead of handling it well, he's spazzing out while trying to 'pimp away' - which is to say, to pretend his pride wasn't hurt after a particularly embarrassing event in front of witnesses.

You said, and I quote, verbatim, "You're dead, bitch". After threatening to put me in a coroner (which is still one of the dumbest threats I've ever heard, dudebro).

So unless you're about to pull some Knarf-esque contortions to pretend the thing you'd said before meant something else because of the potential ambiguity of what "You're dead, bitch" means, then yeah, you kind of did.

And that was pretty fucking pathetic. Yeah?
