With Phage, you can have either Platinum Angel, Sundial of the Infinite or Torpor Orb to negate the drawback. It also helps if you have Demonic/Diabolic Tutor to find one of those artifacts.

Mishra does seem useless. Brothers Yamazaki works with Heat Shimmer I guess.

I think another nominee is Haakon, Stromgald Scourge. Not exactly sure how to get him out of the Command Zone.

Some options are
Taniwaha  -a mono blue deck with your lands unavailable half the time
zubrei - not a lot of support
myojin of whatever - basically mono colored vanillas, at least the legendary vanillas from Legends offer two colors.
Isamaru -a 1 mana bear
Kentaro -only slightly better then the brothers

Actually Isamaru is kind of a great general, he can be REALLY fast and you just buff him up with Enchantments

On another note, Eron the Relentless doesnt ever tickle my fancy

Okay, here's a question - what's people's opinion on Isamaru, Hound of Konda as a general? 

In theory, it's only a 2/2 vanilla - in practice, it's a 2/2 you can drop on the first turn, without fail. Great, or garbage?

Medium, in my playgroup we find out that attacking with a pumped up hound in mono white with support by equipments was to slow until defence/removal/boardwhipe had been set up. It most often lost, sometimes it won.
Depends on multiplayer with 'king of the hill' conditions or duell mode...

I like him, I feel if made right you can kill quickly with him

However I think hes a better 1v1 general

Morinfen requires Eon Hub to be halfway decent... Which makes sense considering he's a 5/4 flier.

Veldrane of Sengir is a card to consistently deal 2 general damage. 7 mana casting cost? Seems fair.

I'm sure he's used extensively in the French Duel format because voltron is the only strategy that is playable with such a huge banned list. I think he'd be better in an eight-and-a-half-tails weenie deck personally.

Mishra looks useless unless you wanted expensive mana ramp lol. Mycosynth lattice is the only good card I could see with it to get two lands or something along those lines if that was possible. And does anyone know if there's a bad WUBRG commander out there?

Memnite can't be a commander, though that would be really interesting.
