Okay. ^_^

If you are stupid, I can't ignore that you're stupid just because you think you're a nice person. My reasoning is simple. The second you realize that someone like me can see through your front, and that we can see the genuine stupidity that is you laid bare, you act like a cunt. The second you act like a cunt is the second we can tell how fake you were. And the second you can tell that we know how fake you are, how much you lie to yourself and everyone else around you -

The second you realize that, you could accept that you're not meant to be brilliant, just average and mundane and normal. Instead, you double down on being a fake, on being a stupid liar. You double down the condescension, and pretend that your peers just aren't smart enough to understand you. You double down the smugness, wearing your bullshit as if it were armour, as if it weren't patently aware that your armour doesn't stink of shit. You double down the lies, hoping to god that eventually, by stubborn force of will, they will magically become the truth. The second we see through you, and realize that no amount of digging through the bullshit will expose a part of you as genuine (and, in fact, realize that the fake, stupid lying *is* the most genuine part of you)...

That's the second that our hearts break, because we're seeing the very epitome of man's weaknesses. And the very idea that that weakness encompasses our entire species terrifies us.

That terror is what keep us genuine, honest, and true. The terror of your condition is the very reason we need to be smart.

The stupid can never understand that we get how their stupidity is perpetuated - if you are stupid, you seek out people who'd celebrate your stupid adulation of low standards, and together, you encourage others (and are encouraged) to be stupid. Stupidity becomes endemic, a plague which can infect anyone stupid enough to risk exposure to it. Of course, the stupid aren't smart enough to avoid it. And they're not smart enough to understand why we would want to avoid it.

I know the stupid are innocent in their ignorance. But I hate that they would expose us to that ignorance, I hate that they would expect us to perpetuate their ignorance, and I hate that they want us to pretend that they're not completely fucking transparent and fake. I hate that they'd expect us to expose ourselves like that.

I fucking hate stupid people, but no matter who reads this, I'll have converted no one. Those who are smart are already living my dilemma, and need to change nothing. Those who are stupid will just pretend that nothing in this rant pertains to them, a perpetual motion machine fuelled by raw willful ignorance.
