you've probably all seen this art, but i thought the card mock-ups were pretty funny.

i'm excited to find out what they really do.

I feel like Szadek will be a spirit, on the fact that you said he's a spirit now. Just calling it a hunch.

Szadek is a vampire. The Ghost Council looks nastier. Hope they are better this time around.

So, should I be looking for the GD or the square as the symbol? At least Tablet of the Guilds and ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING has the guild marks.

I want Szadek to be a vamp too .... I see so much abilities that could go well .... Like lifelink, unblockable, milling, regen, etc !!

I wish we could know what will be the nexk 5 guild keyword ability ....
Selesnia got their populate, Azorius got their detain, Rakdos got their unleash, golgary got their scanvenge, izzet got nothing (pretty lame the overload) so ... i think we will have some new abilities from those guild !

At least .. I hope so.

If anyone knows where I can find some spoiler (for I think there is only s dozen card spoiled and they are lands) I would be grateful :D

I'm curious to see what Szadek will do cause I'll probably want him for my UB control Type2 deck. I'm also curious as to what countermagic and removal we're gonna get. Hey Meister Blustersquall and Mizzium Mortars were decent.

Man, what? Cyclonic Rift is one of the best cards in the format, and that's *specifically* because of the Izzet mechanism.

It's priced exactly right for a bounce spell - and because of it's Overload, it's not only good to draw this card in the late game, it's a game changer. Overload gives cheap, efficient decks big spells to change the game with, but without the expense of filling a spell slot with an expensive spell.

If you are able to pull off an O.L.'ed Rift, you've pretty much won the game for yourself. And Electrickery is amazing - ping damage for all of your opponent's creatures, instant speed, two mana (and one of those is colourless).

The mechanism is boss, one of the most functional I've seen in a long time. The issue was that most of the cards Overload ended up on that were bunk, and meant as support. There's a lot of indication, though, that there's going to be a Goblin resurgence soon - which will make card like Mizzium Skin, Dynacharge and Blustersquall fscking broken.

I think it's clear by now how much I adore Overload. It's just a shame that they didn't really take it as far as they could have.

Szadek isn't in Gatecrash. The new Dimir leader is called Lazav. Lots more art and info here.
