I wish to bring up the point that I joined the argument late, and only because Hunter claimed that he had "shuit" me down.

Also, seriously? So, a guy posts

and he's sorely missed?

Every time that a combo of mine was questioned or insulted, I either defended it or took blame for making a bad combo. I never dredged up my old combos, because I wanted some positive comments on it, and I never complained about people "talking shit" about them.

I think that too many people forget that this is a card game. A game. A game that most people regard as something for losers and children. Now I like to think that's not entirely accurate, but people here are starting to make me see that that might actually be true.

Lighten up, it's a game. There is no ownership, there is no copyright, there is nothing worth losing your head over.

Call me jaded, but having to cite everything and not post videos on the internet because they use copyrighted conent, as well as having to cite the use of pictures, it is basically ingrained into my system.

Aside from my personal reasons (and others I can cite that are famous electronically) it is just common courtesy to give to:
not take credit for something recently mentioned/created
apologize if innocent (or guilty)
and not be a dick about this process.

If Hunter would have had the ability to man up and take the high road, Academic would have actually been seen as the bully if she continued to stress the point.
However, it happened the way it happened.

I'm not going to idolize Academic, but I won't pretend that I was not on her side the majority of the time.

I'm going to throw this out here. I think we all need to get l-...we all need a release.

Boyachi, I fully understand copyright - in fact, part of my job is enforcing copyright for a media production house. But no one has an ownership over a thought or concept - which is exactly what this is.

On the other side however, I do think giving credit where credit is due is something that should happen, but it's a courtesy. It's called being polite. And no one, on either side of this argument, is being very polite. I'm on the Dying Jester/Rodney King side: "Can we all get along?".

I never really talked to Hunter...I don't think though. Regardless, confronting a bully is something a good, moral person should do. It looks like Hunter and I were the only 2 willing to do so. I've said my piece to Academic, which is the last bit of interaction I will have with her. I won't be leaving the site. Not because of her. She will never have any kind of power to sway my judgement. Anyway, enough on that. Hunter, if you want to come back, just ignore Academic. Seems to be the best policy. As for friends here, I would have to say, none of you are actually a "friend" of mine. I share ideas, give critisisms, applaud ideas and help with rules issues. So, you guys are accuantances. Friends? Only people I've physically met. Sorry.

Boyachi - I appreciate that you had my back, but no, I wouldn't have seemed like the bully. If Hunter had manned up, the situation would have been resolved without his threats, and I wouldn't have had to defend myself. Let's not blame the victim here, even if she won.

Yes, nothing is more patently false as a professional academic referring to herself as 'Academic'. ;D

Turbine - I can compare our academic accomplishments, and our intellects, if you really want that. I was just under the impression that when I accurately compare myself to other people, I come off sounding significantly better than the other person (as well as more than a little arrogant). :D And I'd rather not rock this boat more that I've done already.

Because I'm a neurobiologist, and geneticist, with a focus on the neurodevelopment of embryos (in hopes of preventing neurodegenerative disorders by treating the child prenatally).

I can say my work is *for certain* allowing one child to live without fear of MS, despite the fact that both his parents are already showing onset symptoms. I'm currently replicating this experiment with another child - all signs indicate that I've invented a (new) rudimentary way of genetically screening malignant reproductive cells.

^^ So, I'm sorry, how many future generations will you be touching, exactly?  :D
