Title: Guess the next RTR mechanism!

Okay - we've got one last guild to go. Person closest to the actual Azorius ability is the official smartest person on the forum, until the next time we do one of these. ^^

Remember - we've already been told that abilities will mesh with the last time we visited Ravnica. Then, the Azorius Senate had Forecast, which allowed you to 'cast' a cantrip version of a given spell by paying it's forecast cost, and revealing the spell to your opponent.

I'd guess some form of a scrying mechanic. Example: look at (x) cards of target players library. Probably with a resetting mechanic also like put them back in any order put them at the bottom of the library. Something that lets then know what is going to happen

Yes but you could use it once per turn.

Are we sure azorious is the last guild of this set? I heard they were doing 5 guilds the first set and 5 guilds the second set but not which guilds would be in each set. Could it be a different guild?

It's definitely the Azorius, at least according to Maro.

The background story for the Senate sounds really cool this time, too. ^^

I mean if we already know that four of the guilds are Selesnya, Izzet, Golgari, and I believe that "unleash" is a Rakdos mechanic, then white and blue are represented only once each, meaning the fifth guild would have to be Azorius to keep the set balanced color-wise.

As for my guess for Azorious mechanic, the last mechanic featured revealing cards from your hand, perhaps this new one will return cards from hand to play? Or an additional cost that returns instants/sorceries from GY to hand (although that sounds really broken with UW control, I don't think that would happen).

I'm also predicting that Vision Skeins and Divination will be combined with that Overload mechanic into something like: 2U, uncommon, sorcery, target player draw two cards, Overload 1U (You may cast this spell for its overload cost. If you do, change its text by replacing all instances of "target" with "each".)

My guess is that Azorius will have a card drawing effect. I'm going to go all in. "Requisition-When you cast this spell, you may tap up to two creatures you control. If you do, draw cards equal to the number of creatures you tapped."

Had 2 possible ideas
Like what rav said, with forecast your showing the opponent what you have coming, so something to see what they have coming would work. Great opportunity for fateseal to make an appearence
2nd idea, like the otherguy said, something with draw goes well with the aspects of azorious. Since forecast is mainly creature focused, you need something to encourage playing creatures, but azorious isnt keen about giving up an advantage. So im thinking something like
Retribution - when this creature dies, draw a card
