If you were to target a token, with this spell, how exactly
would it work?

Unless stated otherwise (dark depths for example) the token name is the same as the type.  So Thraban doomsayer produces a human token named "Human Token"  Gather the townsfolk and thatcher revolt also produce human tokens named "Human Token"  Master Call produces tokens named "Myr Token"

So to answer your question if you were to play all the above cards.  all the "Human Token"'s will get the boost the myr will not

The name would actually just be 'Human', or 'Myr' in those instances, as would be their creature types. In the example given by Wizards in the rules bible, if an ability would have you put a Goblin Scout token into play, it's name would be 'Goblin Scout', with both the Goblin and Scout subtypes.

There are also further exceptions - there are, for example, named token producers such as the Cloud Seeker, which puts out Faerie tokens named Cloud Sprite (Yes, just like the card ^^), or Kher Keep, which produces Kobald tokens named Kobalds of Kher Keep (Yes, just like the card - although who really wants to pay 1R for a 0/1 novelty?)

Last (but much, much easier to understand) are copy tokens, such as are produced by Rite of Replication - these are nice and simple in that their name is whatever name the original creature had.

As a last little thing - if you're looking to really take advantage of tokens as a thing, consider Intangible Virtue, the token 'lord' card, giving all tokens +1/+1, as well as vigilance.

The whole Echoing cycle from Darksteel is quite good for this reason. Echoing Truth is a good way for mono blue Pauper decks to survive when a Goblin Storm deck goes off.

So unless I'm mistaken if I have Aurochs and Riptide Replicator (chosen green Aurochs) then I cast
Echoing Courage on my Aurochs, each token I pumped out with my Replicator would get +2/+2 as well?

It makes logical sense, but something tells me it doesn't work that way. I wish there was something in the rules to prove it, but I couldn't find anything.

It would work for every Aurochs you controlled before playing Echoing Courage.

Actually, Aurochs is the picture perfect card for this purpose. Any tokens produced would be Aurochs tokens named 'Aurochs'. Since the tokens and the cards fit the criteria for Echoing courage, you're set.

This is the same as if you were using both Cloud Sprite, the card, and Cloud Sprite tokens produced by Cloud Seeker.

And thank you for pointing out Riptide Replicator. I somehow have totally missed that card in the past. I am hooking that bad boy up to an Infinite Proliferate exploit, and I'ma kick somebody's ass with a pile of 1000000/1000000 Rainbow tokens. :D

I accidently stumbled across this when revising my aurochs deck.

But Riptide replicator is just one color.

Then they will have to be Blue Rainbows. :D

I have a question for this thread:

If an opponent casts a Doom Blade and I use Redirect, can I use it on one of his/her creatures that have hexproof? I think it will work because I don't "control" or "own" the spell, I would simply make it go somewhere else.

Because you don't control the redirected spell, you would be able to target a hexproof creature, that another player controls, but not your own.
