All three examples I'm giving seem to be rules-equivalent, but I'll ask for them all anyways. ^^;

Example one: For reasons X, Y, or Z, I slap on a Paradise Mantle onto a Rimebound Dead.

Example two: I use Rimefeather Owl to place an ice counter on Llanowar Elves.

Example three: I use Rimefeather Owl to place an ice counter on Darksteel Ingot.

In all three examples,  there are now mana producers with a Snow supertype - so unless I'm tripping up, all three can produce snow mana for me, right?

I don't see why not.

Snow mana: The snow mana symbol represents a cost that can be paid with one mana produced by a snow permanent. This is a generic mana cost that can be paid with any color or, or colorless, mana. Effects that reduce the amount of generic mana you pay don’t affect costs.

Let us beat a dead horse into the ground!

107.4h The snow mana symbol {S} represents one generic mana in a cost. This generic mana can be paid with one mana of any type produced by a snow permanent (see rule 205.4f). Effects that reduce the amount of generic mana you pay don‘t affect {S} costs. (There is no such thing as "snow mana"; "snow" is not a type of mana.)

205.4f Any permanent with the supertype "snow" is a snow permanent. Any permanent that doesn‘t have this supertype is a nonsnow permanent, regardless of its name.
