Jace + Niv-Mizzet? Awesome. Another return set so soon after Scars. Interesting. Although people have been wanting to return to Ravnica for years.

Will the set be multicolour again? Will Richard Garfield be involved? Will the reprint the shocklands? Here's hoping it's a resounding YES to all 3 questions.

They just used flashback in Innistrad. I doubt they will use it in Return to Ravnica.

Innistrad and Ravnica will both be in standard at the same time... They may not reprint Lightning Helix, but I sincerely hope they do. :)

Ummm, what? This card will be insane in Legacy with Brainstorm and Jace, the Mind Sculptor. At least they had the good sense to exile the card after resolution.

They almost made time walk 2. Between Ponder and how many cards have scy the only way I see paying price is if it's in the opening hand. Could u imagine casting ur draw card on an opponent to stop them from time walking?

Couldshift looks like it could be exploitable for an infinite enters combo. Maybe combined with the Isochron Scepter, an untap mechanism, and some mana production?

New planeswalker!



Pretty cool, even if it makes little sense to see Moonfolk on Innistrad. Whatever though. She can protect herself, she provides card advantage, and her ultimate can be bonkers. Dark Ritual + Drain Life? Pyretic Ritual plus Banefire? Gitaxian Probe to cycle through your deck. I'm not sure if it will see Constructed play, but it seems like a very fun card.

Now will we see a Red planeswalker?

And another, the last of Avacyn's fellow legendary Angels.



Pretty neat. It would be pretty fun to build a deck around her for casual play. Eldrazi Conscription all the way, although the Annihilator won't trigger if she's already attacking. I think this card lets you steal other players' Auras.

A lot of these cards have synergy with the Heavenly Inferno prefabricated Commander deck, also. I'm already considering which cards to sub out - may be do a whole angel theme, and do away with the other types altogether.

Two quick things - after reading the breakdown of Tibalt (The article is called 'Walk for two", and can be found on Wizards), it looks like one of the cards will be a means of forcing your opponent to engage in massive draw.

Any ideas? Maybe a red Prosperity, or something of the like?

Second, does anyone know if Ral Zarek is going to be revealed this set, or is it going to wait until the Return to Ravnica?

Re-read that first ability. Increasing Devotion or Lingering Souls, and all of a sudden your dudes are unblockable. GW Humans splashing black for Lingering Souls?



Whoa, not bad. Get out a trampler the turn before, and proceed to layeth the smacketh down. Works great with the Champion above.



Love the flavour of this card, even if the ability is a little expensive to activate. The flicker effect works well with Act of Treason effects, as well as all of the ETB abilities that are floating around these days.

Any other combos that we are seeing? (sorry, but I honestly don't see the point of submitting these as combos when all cards needed are not in the database, but that's my own preference)

It's not a combo, but I can't be the only person who see the immense synergy between Noxious Revival/Reclaim and miracle cards. I would love to make some sort of RUG rogue deck that features a bunch of miracles, with things like Faithless Looting to run through your deck, then tossing them on top of your library to cast them. Instant speed draw cards in blue can help cast miracles on your opponents turns. I think that would be very fun, though I'm not sure how effective in practice...

red is my least favorite color in every format with white close behind.

funny because i've always run a standard with red and a standard with white.
