so, I found this out last night(and it was )to my dismay. ( i just included the tatterkites) my deck was not equipped to run this combo that I played. I had several other cards in play, mostly creatures with wither. it was almost retarded.
Crumbling ashes says that you destroy target creature with a -1/-1 counter on it during your upkeep. and blowfly infestation makes you put a -1/-1 counter on a creature in play when a creature goes to a graveyard with one.
so eventhough on my upkeep I destoyed his entire army of 1/1's I lost my army as well!
I'm gonna use this combo with unearth creatures or viashino's that go bact to my hand or the tatterkite that can't have counters placed on him! or maybe just creatureless.
double up on the blowflies and crumbling ashes if you can!

You should think about adding a few Flourishing Defenses and Grim Poppet which would give you a big army even after your army dies!
