This isn\'t so much a combo as it is just a great pairing.  You can get a 7/6 with fly and indestr. on your fourth turn.

he is talking about safehold elite, though I dont know why he thinks a 2/2 is better then a 5/5 1 turn later-not including the shield boost

I understand that you would get it out quicker but I still think the wolly would be better.

Well, you arn't taking into account colors, which is what makes safehold better, being only one of two colors needed instead of three.  I find it unlikely that you would have all three colors on turn three.

That is a solid point.  I have run into that problem before with my beast deck.  But you will have that problem in any multicolored deck.  With all of the multicolored lands it's not as difficult to get the three.  I also use the gemhide sliver in this deck just for the mana.

I guess in some decks the color can be a problem, depending on the build.  If taking it to two colors elite is a good option though I personally prefer watchwolf
