the problem with necropotence is you skip your draw step, which means you skip the opportunity to gain life to pay for necropotence, you will need to have a way to draw outside of the draw step, or just deal with the life lose

And how do you not lose anything, even if you are gaining life youstill have to discard or sac a permanant

with the original combo your not losing the draw opportunity, with the addition of necro you are. and in either case your are still discard/sacing at end of each turn
