it doesn't work at all its basically two seperate cards that let you sac creatures what so you have 1 creature and a handfull of extra life? I don't see why you would want it.

You sacrifice a non-token artifact to the Foundry. Then, you sacrifice the token to the Altar to pay for the mana.
