Also, the Deep-Slumber Titan has an awesome flavor text.

Wait a min. [ Doom Blade ] vs [ Terror ] -- do you still think older cards are always better? --

some old cards are INSANELY good, but most of those have been banned (EX: "the power nine")
there still are some really good old cards, but quite a bit of them in comparison to newer things are just terrible...

Some newer cards are better than older cards. Some older cards are better than newer cards.

That is right... good ability or bad ability, a card is always good in the right hands...

Almost always. In rare instances, Wizards will obsolete a card. For example, why use Wall Of Wood when you can use Tinder Wall? And don't even get me started on how many better versions of Grizzly bears there are... But as for the old vs new argument, it's on a card-by-card basis.

the elzari. A 12/12 with anihalator for 11? This is way powerful. This worldwake block may be the next power nine. With all the cards that mana acelorate, and even the elzari seeking land. This has some issues.

Nothing in that black even remotely compares to the power nine. In case you haven't noticed, there are no creatures on the restricted list. My guess is there never will be either.
