the sliver queen counts for all colors, so you can't take damage. The piper is for getting out a multi color critter in a deck that doesn't run all colors.

Well, you can just use the 4 to cast that has all colors... I forgot the name...

The card you're thinking is Channel The Suns. Also, did you know there are now 14 creatures with all 5 colors? They are...

Sliver Queen, Sliver Overlord, Sliver Legion, Cromat, Fusion Elemental, Scion Of The Ur-Dragon, Maelstrom Archangel, Reaper King, Progenitus, Karona The False God, Child Of Alara, Atogatog, Horde Of Notions, and finally, Transguild Courier which is not all 5 colors, but counts as all colors as per his ability.

yeah, channel the suns is better actually.  I'm kinda old school though.  I am not really familiar with anything past like nemesis, and i really only post combos with cards I own.

You can also use the land that converts 5 colorless to BURGW... I also forgot the name but channel the suns is a good alternative...

i would just run the transguild courier.. 4 colorless and you could drop the combo down to 1 color and 4 mana (seeing as how you could drop the elf and the s queen)... seems like a better deal to me! (oh, and cheaper to buy as well seeing as how s queen runs for ~30 bucks, and for a broke ass like me, saving $ is all right in my book)
