I think that there is  a card that prevents damage from black sources, but I can't find it. Anyways, Imprint the Luminesce onto the Isochron. Play Auriok Champion to keep a creature alive, then keep paying the black.

It will also prevent damage to your opponent's creatures and your opponent so no effect at all...

The card you'r thinking of is Samite Ministration and it makes this combo quite effective.

With Circle of Protection, you have to pay 1B for every time you use Pestilence.

There are no other cards that will work the way you want except Urza's Armor. Most protection abilities and spells only cover one source, and do not last until end of turn.

Heldron-Field Purists will do all of the assistance that you need that will sure that you and your creatures will be unharmed.

If you want to add green than two vigors will build your creatures up.

just add a 2nd combo to go with it... something like stuffy doll or mogg maniac or Spitemare with something to give indestructibility and pariah/pariahs sheild

I suppose you could if you knew what I was playing beforehand or if you feel you have to have kill spells in all your decks.

Are you saying that removal spells don't have a place in decks unless there's a specific reason for them???

I'm not saying THAT. Kill spells have their place. But I do have a mill deck that does just fine without kill spells. In fact I have quite a few decks that do just fine without kill spells. My mindset is if I'm running a creature focused deck then I'll put some Doom Blades and whatnot in there.

Honestly you can come up with the sweetest combo ever and still get slaughtered. All depends on the game, my man.
