workhorse provides colorless mana, the new one from commander 2016 provides colored mana.

The combo needs a sac outlet in order for it to work. Mikaeus gives a static buff to the mana dork, nullifying Heartless Summoning.

It works with the new one but not with workhorse because it gains undying which gives it a +1/+1 counter which you can remove.
