Descent into Madness is a stand in for Triskaidekaphobia (SOI, Rare).
At upkeep, in response to Trisk's ability, activate Tree. Then after life exchange has happened, but before Trisk's triggered ability resolves, activate Soul Conduit to exchange your life total with someone else.
Use flicker effects at or before your next turn (Conjurer's Closet, etc.) to reset Tree.
