infinite red mana and tokens with haste

Would this mean you would at least need 2 priests to pull this off because of the wording on both flameshadow and curio?

no.
just 1 priest and that new Card.
the permanent priest triggers the ability to pay r for a token, the token let you put the original piest back to your Hand.
the priest and the token cost rr2
both net you rrrrrr
so 1 token and rr per Iteration.
