I don't have a Lotus. But I would utilize instead of the Lotus
Lotus Petal with
Arcbound Crusher or
Battered Golem and Heavy Arbalest or
Glassdust Hulk or
Glaze Fiend or
Leonin Elder or ...

you also would be lucky if you have Lightning Greaves and Phyrexian Altar and your Opponent has a Bloom Tender in his graveyard...

Unfortunately Geth states from "OPPONENT'S" graveyard, so the Lotus or the Petal have to be in your opponent's graveyard since you can't target cards in your graveyard...

Lotus Petal would make for a hamster wheel, rather than any sort of useful infinite loop. A whole lot of running, absolutely no progress anywhere.

the hamster wheel would provide infinite artifact etb Triggers...

did you read
Lotus Petal WITH
Arcbound Crusher or
Battered Golem and Heavy Arbalest or
Glassdust Hulk or
Glaze Fiend or
Leonin Elder or ...

all cards which take benefit from artifacts entering the battlefield.
