Just a fun interaction. Get Purphoros out, then cast War Elemental. Stack the triggers so Purphy hits your opponent before the sacrifice check resolves, and you keep your now 3/3 elemental. Not to mention that every time Purphy shoots them, the elemental is going to get +2/+2 bigger.
