Play Lotus Petal to cast Altar of the Brood, Play Black Lotus to cast Midnight Guard. Play Ornithopter. Play Island to cast Retraction Helix on Midnight Guard. Return Ornithopter to hand and re-play over and over again until opponent is milled. If you're on the draw turn 1 hope for a Tormod's Crypt to exile their graveyard.

You forgot any method of giving the guard haste to allow it to use the ability granted by Retraction Helix.

Oops! That pesky Summoning Sickness. Oh well, was trying to live the dream. Still "doable" as a second turn mill then.

I don't see any mill card in this combo...Retraction Helix returns nonland permanent to owners hand.

Read what I posted first. Should be self evident. Ornithopter is a nonland permanent you return to hand with the Retraction Helix on the Midnight Guard.

In regards to the mill card, Altar of the Brood was mentioned, though not in the database properly, as I recall.

"Whenever another permanent enters the battlefield under your control, each of your opponents puts the top card of his or her library into his or her graveyard."

If I recall its text properly, anyway.
