Really the Altar can be any permanent with a 'Sacrifice a creature' ability.

I like this....  ;)   And can be played,  G/W/R  or  G/W/B  or just G/W with green's multiple mana producers.  Very nice.

Burn, unless they have something which stops them being burnt (like Worship and a prot-red creature)

That would take a long time to mill them. But its a gret combo/2 for 1

Not that long really, it takes 3 cards each time you sacrifice the Redcap, by the time you have the combo out they'll probably have around 45 cards left in their deck, only need to repeat 15 times or so. Remember in real life you can 'shortcut' if your opponents don't have any responses and you can demonstrate the combo (e.g. you say 'I do this 10 times, mill for 30').

Altar + Intruder Alarm + Llanowar Elf + Imperious Perfect

Wait wouldn't it still come into play w/ a -1/-1 counter?

Even though it gets two +1/+1 counters I think it would still have a -1/-1 counter.

Is there a rule that says that anytime a -1/-1 is on a creature that if they get a +1/+1 counter added to it that they cancell eachother out?

Yup, that's the rule... +1/+1 counters cancel -1/-1 counters and vice versa...

120.2. If a permanent has both a +1/+1 counter and a -1/-1 counter on it, N +1/+1 and N -1/-1 counters are removed from it as a state-based action, where N is the smaller of the number of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters on it. See rule 704.

(704 is the clarification of state based actions)

Realised that for the Mill part you can replace the Sigil Captain with Juniper Order Ranger and the Redcap with any persist creature, e.g. use Kitchen Kinks to gain infinite life. Less colours required for this, plus you end up with a big creature too.

1 way it can be stopped is with with RoE legendary eldeazies, but there ways around it
