Ashnod's Battlegear sitting in for:

Interesting political trick for 3+ player games, and just a mean thing to do otherwise.

Get the Persecutor out with the Assault Suit attached to it. On each opponent's upkeep, hand them the demon. Essentially, no one can win on their own turn this way.

Thanks to the Assault Suit's "until end of turn" clause, at the end of every turn, the demon will default back to your control, meaning you at least can still attack with it without hindrance.

Bronze Bombshell blows up as soon as an opponent gets control of it, so you would have one shot with it, then a dead construct and a grumpy opponent.

I think the secret of the Assault Suit is to find a creature you can manage having, but sitting on an opponent's field makes it a complete liability to them. The Evil Eyes, for example. Hand off the eye and nothing else they have can attack and the eye can't attack YOU.
