my question is if this works.

1. take damage.
2. triggers from darian and lich.
3. put triggers on the stack, lich first, darian second.
4. darian resolves. put soldier token in play. gain 1 life.
5. lich resolves, sac soldier token.

DOES THIS WORK?

It does work. Though the attendant is semi-pointless, since you don't lose going below 0, your life total won't matter outside a lucky removal spell aimed at the tomb.
