i don't think this works. darksteel forge says artifacts you control are indestructible. It doesn't say all other artifacts you control. Also your card you want to imprint on the mirror says destroy target artifact not sacrifice(which would work in your combo then)

This does work. The token creation does not require the target card to actually go to the graveyard for it to happen.
So the Artifact Mutation will try to destroy the Darksteel Forge, fail, then make its 9 tokens and call it a day.
