Mountain is scourge of the throne from conspiracy. If the player has the highest life total, this is 3 combat phases for free, not to mention a devastating board state.

Triggers like Dethrone and anything else based on the creature attacking only go off during the declare attackers step, when the creature is assigned as an attacker. A creature put onto the battlefield and attacking does not trigger this way.
