Get Purphy and Aether Flash out together, then cast the Phyto.
-Phyto enters, AE deals 2 damage to it, killing it.
-Phyto's damage trigger stacks, and puts a copy of itself onto the field. Return to previous step.

It is rather amusing to consider Torpor Orb as an answer card to so many combo decks, for only 2 mana.

One of our guys has a Torpor Orb deck. He busts out big fatties like Eater of Days and whatnot. Needless to say, we've been packing more artifact hate...
