Sage of Hours and Doubling Season on the battlefield, Flame Jab in the graveyard. Cast Flame Jab 3 times targeting Sage of Hours resulting in 6 +1/+1 counters via Doubling Season. Repeat this each turn with Life from the Loam.

unfortunately, this doesn't work as the sage of hours would have lethal damage when you remove the counters

Oh youre right, but would this work?
Sage and Doubling Season on the battlefield.
T1 : put 6 counters on Sage.
OT1: remove all counters to get an extra turn.
T2 : put 6 counters on Sage
T3 : remove the counters and put 6 new counters on Sage
T4 : remove the counters and put 6 new counters on Sage
...

You just need to remove the counters at the start of the turn, and flame jab it afterwards. If you remove the counters after its taken damage on any turn, its dead.
