Doesn't matter. The mirror gallery doesn't say "nothing is legendary". It simply turns off the rule that kills duplicate legends.

'Mirror Gallery removes the "Legend rule" while it's on the battlefield.' from gatherer.

I'm gonna side with Terrakhan on this one. Legend rule not applying does not remove the "Legendary" type on the creature (which is the prohibition on Kiki Jiki).

It does remove it, read the gatherer page!

"Mirror Gallery removes the "Legend rule" while it's on the battlefield. If all Mirror Galleries leave the battlefield, the "Legend rule" will apply the next time state-based actions are performed."

I don't see any place in that ruling that states "Legendary" is removed. I do see "Legend Rule" is removed, which is different from "Legendary"... two different things.

no they are not. one is a rule the other is a permanent type

mirror gallery modifies rule 704.5 to allow more then one legendary permanent with the same english name to be on the battlefield at the same time.
it does nothing to change the type of the permanent
see rule 704.5 for further clarification

In this case, it's not so much a Golden Rule but simply the application of what Mirror Gallery literally says. This card's ability generates a continuous effect. This effect is to alter the rules: "Ignore 704.5k, a.k.a. The Legend Rule." http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/magic-fundamentals/magic-rulings/magic-rulings-archives/275255-mirror-gallery-the-legend-rule-and-self-aware-game From another site!

That still does not prove your point. That quote talks about "the Legend rule".

The disagreement seems to be your interpretation of the Legend Rule.

My best advice, try your combo at a tournament with official judges and see how they interpret it.

Rule interpretation discussions are the best... especially in the middle of a game. It's like a 5 minute replay review in a football game... momentum killer.

Just wondering, what's the difference between the creature type and the rule?

The Legend Rule is that (after the most recent change) if a player controls two or more legendary permanents with the same name, all but one of that player's choice die as a state-based action (no responding allowed, happens immediately upon the top event on the stack clearing, if any).

Legendary as it appears on cards is a super-type that modifies the card it appears on with an extra characteristic that the 'Legend Rule' looks for.

Leyline of Singularity is one of the few (maybe only one) cards that can ADD the Legendary super-type to a card. To the best of my knowledge, there is nothing in the game that can remove it.

To use a nerd reference, Obi Wan (Mirror Gallery) waves his hand and sends the Stormtrooper (Legend Rule) on its way, "These are not the droids (legendary permanents) you are looking for."
