Island is Battlefield Thaumaturge.
Have Battlefield thaumaturge in play, cast Aureila's fury for highest life total or some large arbitrary number. Battlefield makes the cost 1 less for each target creature, target the same thing X times, to reduce the total cost of the spell to RW.

sorry, while that would be cool it doesn't work. The Thaumaturge only cares if a creature is a target or not. How many times its targeted doesn't matter.

What might work, though, is targeting every creature on their field as well as them, giving you X amount of targets to deal X damage for RW. Wouldn't be a win per say, but good synergy nonetheless

I see your points, if you are in a 4 man EDH pod, and there are a significant number of creatures on the field, it could work. could always have a damage double out as well.
