this is an older combo, but I haven't seen it on here. You just need to hit the maniac twice with the lightning

If your Mogg takes the 6 damage can you still resolve Chain Lightning to target it again? I mean, wouldn't it be in the graveyard before the other 6 damage hits it again?

From the Gatherer's Errata for Chain Lightning:
10/1/2009 If the targeted creature or player is an illegal target by the time Chain Lightning resolves, the spell is countered. It won't be copied.

This is still incredibly cool. While my burn deck relies too heavily on Repercussion, I can see the start of a great deck with this combo, running cards like Skred and Firestorm (and LB, of course) as well as Bazaar Trader and Jackal Pup.

Drop the Chain Lightning for Lightning Axe. It costs an extra discard or a bunch more mana, but it hits for the magic 5/10/20 kill shot.

Well, that is terrifying.
