Quite mana intensive to pull off, but the result is worth it.

Get the sword and Gideon out together. Activate Gideon's second ability, to make him a creature. Equip him with the Worldslayer, and Spare him From Evil (evil being all of your opponent's creatures, if you're lucky). Then attack.

When Gideon connects, the Worldslayer will destroy everything else on the field except itself and Gideon who was made indestructible when he became a creature.

This would work on any indestructible creature really... Wouldn't it? Or maybe use Rootborn Defense.

I think Worldslayer + and indestructible creature is fairly obvious (and I hope I don't sound like a jerk for saying that).

Rootborn Defense is probably the better play. I just liked Gideon for this because he dodges creature removal until you're ready to attack because he is a planeswalker, then gets past most instant speed removal because he not only has indestructible but prevents damage done to himself too, during that time.
