The best part about this combo, is that you only need four of these cards in your starting hand.

-Play the Swamp
-Tap the Swamp to play the Dark Ritual
-Entomb with the first of the three black mana, grabbing the Hypnox from your Library and stuffing it into your graveyard.
-Reanimate it with the second black mana, losing eleven life, but who cares, you just ate the opponent's hand.
-Use the last mana to pay for the surprise Force Spike your opponent could try, or play a Putrid Imp/Misery Charm/etc., or even use it for nothing since mana burn is a thing of the past.

In short, I wouldn't recommend this combo against a blue control deck (Mental Misstep or Force of Will) but hey, if any of this is countered, you don't lose the life. Your opponent is then on a three turn clock until they take a typically lethal overdose of flying damage.

Sure Hellkite Overlord has flying/trample/haste/a smaller cmc, but there is a larger chance of your opponent being able to do something about it. Hypnox exiles the hand, so flashback and reanimation for said former hand is useless until Hypnox is gone, hence typically a turn four win.

Hypnox only takes their hand if you cast it from yours, per its own rules text.

That is so incredibly disappointing.

Thanks for the heads up, though.
