Step 1: Give them Lesser Gargadon using Bazaar Trader
Step 2: Enchant it with Lust for War and Defang
Step 3: Wait for the Doom Blade which may or may not come...
Step 4: If Doom Blade never comes... Profit!

Nasty combo!-)
Gaseous Form, Ghostly Possession and Sandskin would be better since they prevent only combat damage. Horn of Deafening would Keep it mono red.

Defang works! It's Lust for War that deals the 3 damage, not the creature.
