With "Malignus" in play; cast "Rush of Blood" making its power = to your opponents life total. After that resolves; cast "Essence Harvest". 100% of your opponents life is then transferred to you.

Drop a mana and a color, and you can use Fling. Doesn't net you the life in return, but that's a trade-off.

Essense Harvest is loss of life, where Fling is damage (which eventually causes loss of life). This not only keeps the flavor of Malignus of not being able to prevent the demise, but also keeps all the cards in the combo to Avacyn Restored.

Wait...i have a question. After you cast essence harvest Malignus' power will then be halved. Even if you fling him you wont kill your opp...if you are playing 1v1.

The idea would be flinging it while its power was doubled to their full life total, killing them with one shot, like the original combo.

Ok...i'm having trouble with this. If you flung Malignus at his full power he would not be able to be the creature that essence harvester bases its damage off of. If you cast essence harvester first and then responded with fling wouldn't essence harvester have to choose another creature or fizzle because you had to sac Malignus?

You are operating under the assumption that the Harvest and Fling are used together, rather than one or the other. Both the harvest and Fling will kill the opponent in this situation. You don't need both. I suggested fling because it costs less mana and is in the same color as the other two cards of the combo, compared to the harvest.

fling would work if you can end the game, if not essence is the better choice, especially since you dont lose the creature
