Have Quicksilver Fountain in play for several turns. Then, cast Eon Hub and Illusionary Terrain. Chose Island as first land type and something else as second land type.
Now, all lands in play with a flood counter remain the secon type chosen.
Lands put into play afterwards keep their land type unless they are Islands on their own.

Re-reading the setup:
The fountain can now drop counters on the same land over and over, since it won't be an island, ever.

In all, this is a 3-card method of making all lands one type. Good for shutting down non-basics at the very least.

Also, lands dropped after don't have to keep their type. The fountain can still turn them to the chosen type. It doesn't shut off just because nothing can stay an island.

Eon hub let all Players skip their upkeep steps, flood Counters would be placed during upkeep. So once the three Cards are set up, all lands which are not of type Island keep their type.

A cool thing about this is that because of Quicksilver Fountain, you don't actually need to play blue mana sources to cast Illusionary Terrain, since the Fountain is literally able to turn your lands into islands.

This means you can play hate-blue without needing blue to do so.
You get what I mean.
