I built a modern esper spirit deck, and this seemed like a fun way to get them out.

Iname lets you send all of your spirits from your deck to your graveyard if you choose. Once that has resolved, living death will destroy the board and all the spirits you sent to your graveyard will now be in play.

To keep your board and get them, you could use all hallow's eve and vampire hexmage to clear the counters off of the eve

Nothing can remove the counters from All Hallow's Eve early. Its not a card on the battlefield, but in exile, and the cards that can target an exiled card with counter all specify it has to be one with suspend, which AHE does not have. It has the original form of it, to be certain, but they've never retconned it to be the same. Its only two turns though, so its not a long wait, at least.

Its like Stone Seeder Hierophant from the Ravnica block. Its exact wording is the Zendikar block landfall ability, but it still has its old official wording instead of a retcon of its ability.
